who we are

Peter Sgro is the Principal of Sgro & Associates. Unlike most solicitors, before coming to the law Peter worked for over 30 years in industry holding senior management positions in logistics, manufacturing, production planning, costing and budgeting, quality and environmental management, human resources and change management. Peter has worked in the automotive, plastics, printing, foundry, transport industries, as well as in information technology and business restructuring. He holds a master’s degree in business administration and a Bachelor of Laws and Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice which, together with his practical experience, makes him uniquely positioned to understand client’s particular concerns and assist them with their legal matters.

Peter has over a decade of experience successfully representing clients across a broad range of legal matters including representing clients in shareholder and partnership disputes, wills and estates claims, professional negligence claims, property claims, building and construction matters, planning and environment applications, employment and Fair Work claims and defending Worksafe prosecutions. As a consequence, Sgro and Associates have the unique ability to navigate through the often complex legal framework to protect their client’s rights and assist them with their legal problems.

Sgro and Associates understand that litigation can be emotionally and financially draining for clients. We therefore approach every case with empathy and a dedication to achieving the best possible results for their clients whatever their circumstances. We are upfront and transparent about the costs clients are likely to incur, the timeframe that a matter may take and are realistic about our client’s chances of success.

We take the time to listen to clients' concerns, ensuring that their voices are heard, and their interests are protected.  We strive to keep clients informed throughout the entire litigation process to empower them to make well-informed choices and decisions.

A client-centered approach
